A momentous day: 10,000 views

It’s a momentous day.

Not because two of my girls slept until 7:30 a.m., which is a miracle on this day of all days because we put back the clocks an hour last night so it’s as though they slept until 8:30 a.m.

I expected them to be awake at 6:30 a.m. (new time), because they usually wake at 7:30 a.m. (old time), but today they didn’t, which means they slept in on a daylight savings day.

A miracle.

My third daughter, however, did not sleep until 7:30 a.m.; in fact, she barely slept at all because she has a cold, thus depriving me of benefiting from a rare Sunday morning lie-in. Had she slept in too, it might have usurped what is truly momentous about today:

My blog hit 10,000 views.

Thanks to all who made that happen! Couldn’t have done it without you.

  1. I’d never miss reading your blogs…. always something to think about or remember : back when 1 hr of children sleeping more than usual was a true gift! A blog may become an article may become an essay may become a book! Roxoxox

    1. Thanks for all your comments Ruthie. You are my #1 commenter! If I ever get a book, I’ll make sure to name you in the acknowledgements.

  2. Congrats Maeve. This just shows you how many people really enjoy reading what you have to say – and how you say it. Keep on writing please! Hope you get to nap sometimes. : )
